Recharge Your Batteries

It seems like everyone is so tired these days. Everyone except for kids. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the energy of a child?

To fight fatigue it helps to know what is causing it. There are many reasons for fatigue. Afternoon blood sugar changes, viruses, not sleeping deep enough in the night, hormonal imbalances, not enough oxygen in the blood, lack of sunshine, depression, being over-stimulated, neurotransmitter imbalances, pollution, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and stress can all be sources of fatigue.

Most people will feel tired during the transition seasons. The in-between seasons: spring and fall. During these seasons the body cleanses and prepares for a change in temperature.

No-body really knows why you’re tired except you and your body. Ask your body what it wants and then sit quietly for 10 minutes or so listen for the answer. Trust what comes into your mind and then go with it. It may be a combination of things. If you have a thousand things running through your mind, chances are you’re over stimulated and your body is saying ‘I’ve had enough”. In this case you need a break, a change of scenery.

Sometimes fatigue is a result of the way we budget our energy. Lacking boundaries or a sense of when to say yes to and when to say no. In today’s world our energy is being stretched all over the place. So much so, that we never get back to real center. In this case you need to ask yourself, what activities or what thoughts give me more energy and include more of that into your life. Scrap booking might be energizing to one and yet exhausting to another.

Fatigue can also be a result of stagnant creativity in the 3rd charka. This manifests in the form of depression. Every being on the planet was born to create. When you’re truly creating in a way that drives you and brings you joy, it is very difficult to be depressed, and it has a self propelling energy that regenerates the more you do it.

Here are some general things that reduce fatigue. Pick the ones that are right for your situation.

Exercise: movement wakes you up and makes you feel alive.

Avoid major withdraws from your energy bank. Caffeine and refined sugars. This is important for the fatigue that hits you in the afternoon between 2pm and 4pm.

Recharge you batteries with meditation: This can definitely compensate for a lack of sleep as well as bring you the solutions to your life’s problems.

Chlorophyll: Foods nourished by sunlight. Green plants transform the energy of the sun into chlorophyll. The sun gives the earth its energy. Green plants are a way to directly take the suns energy in to your body.

Green barley powder from DNA solutions wakes up the body and detoxifies at the same time. This is good for the body that is saying “I have had enough!”

Nourish the adrenal. Having you fight or flight system going off all the time due to stress can exhaust the adrenals. A good complex adaptagen supplement should help.

Put the oxygen back in your blood: If you have anemia from time to time you may want to get that checked. Low copper, low B-12, or low iron can all show up as anemia.
Eating balanced portions. Skipping meals can drag you down, and eating to large of a meal can also drag you down. It’s really about balance.

Morning sunshine and breakfast for optimum amounts of serotonin. 10 to 15 minutes without sunglasses will do.

Water: Turn on the power. You are electrical and electricity requires water.

And of course get enough sleep. If you have a hard time winding down at night try melatonin.

Good tips. There is so much to be gained by listening to yourself. It’s so basic, but also something most of us almost never do…
